Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Process
The Bioprospecting Unit has a laboratory fully equipped with the infrastructure and equipment necessary for the detection, isolation and identification of macro and micro-organisms from environmental samples based on nucleic acid and protein analysis. The techniques used are of high sensitivity and specificity and succeeded in identifying the organisms of interest.
Our staff has more than 14 years of experience collecting and isolating microorganism from any kind of samples. We also offer the capacity of running fermentation experiments to obtain secondary metabolites as antibiotics and others.
INBio counts with computational capacity for high yield bioinformatics with a scientific staff with the skills for Next Generations Sequencing data analysis.
